Hybrid mattresses contain both springs and foam. They can be made up of either pocket springs or open coil springs, memory foam or gel foam. The added layers of foam give good pressure relief for side sleepers on the hips and shoulders. These types of mattress are single sided so no need to turn regularly although rotation from top to toe is good for even wear and tear.
